Who can enter?

Any welder who is currently undergoing training may enter the SkillWeld 2010 national welder competition. Entrants must be proficient in MMA and TIG and MIG/MAG. There are no age requirements or restrictions *.

 

Entry into WorldSkills

In 2011, Jake Rambaldini who represented welding at WorldSkills in London. On this world stage, Jake walked away with a bronze medal after competing against competitors from across the globe. Jake works for SkillWeld sponsor, Doosan Power Systems, and started his journey by entering the SkillWeld completion. Jake’s bronze medal, is the highest medal achieved by a UK candidate since the competition began.
