Large Load Movements Taking Place on Weekend of the 31st October
21st October 2009 — On the weekend of the 31st October, a sizeable item of equipment is set to leave Air Products’ Manufacturing Facility in Acrefair, North Wales, bound for the Ellesmere Port Dock Complex.
The item of equipment will be a Heat Exchanger box measuring 25.4 metres in length, 6.2 metres wide, 5.7 metres high and weighing 165 tonne, and will be bound for Papua New Guinea.
“When organising large load movements, we work closely with the Highways Agency, local authorities and police forces across three counties. This enables us to mitigate any impact on the local community and ensure the safe and smooth transit of our load,” commented John Taylor, Shipping Officer, Air Products.
On the 31st October, the column is due to leave Acrefair at 8.00am travelling by route B (see details). It is scheduled to arrive on the A41 outside Whitchurch around 1pm the same day, where it will remain overnight. The load will leave Whitchurch at 8am on 1st November bound for Ellesmere Port Docks, where it is expected to arrive around 1pm.
