AIR PRODUCTS’ COLLABORATION WITH WEILER ADVANCES PROCESSING INNOVATION

2nd March 2009 – Leading cryogenic solutions provider Air Products is combining its expertise with mixer and mixer-grinder specialist Weiler to deliver fully integrated food mixing, grinding and cooling solutions. The new offering combines Air Products’ Freshline® Liquid Nitrogen Injection Solution (LIN-IS) with Weiler’s mixer and mixer-grinder technologies. This new combined offering of Weiler’s mixers and mixer-grinders with Air Products’ liquid nitrogen injection provide benefits across a wide range of food processing applications.

The combined technologies are ideally suited for red meat applications and may be applicable for the poultry, fish, seafood and vegetable markets. With the new joint offering, products are quickly blended into a homogenous mix while being cooled consistently and rapidly using the LIN-IS’s innovative cryogenic technology. Both the Freshline LIN-IS and Weiler’s mixer-grinders are designed to the latest hygienic standards and can be connected to a CIP (Clean-In-Place) system. Operation, cleaning and maintenance are simplified through full software integration.

“Pooling our knowledge and experience means we can offer processors the best of both worlds”, commented Dave Stone, General Manager - Europe, Africa & Middle East, Weiler Beehive Ltd: “With Air Products’ support, we look forward to surpassing our customers’ expectations and optimising grinding, mixing and cooling performance.
