A Large Load Movement Could Affect Your Journey
9th February 2009 — On the weekend of 14th February, a box structure is to leave from Acrefair, bound for Ellesmere Port destined for Mexico.
The large structure will be measuring approximately 55m long x 5.6m wide x 4.6m high and will be travelling in one piece in convoy.
“Movements such as these take months of planning”, commented Geoff Morris , Commercial Manager, GEO Manufacturing Europe . “We work closely with the Highways Agency, local authorities and police forces across three counties to ensure the safe and smooth transit of our loads. Whilst we appreciate there is some disruption to local roadways during a load movement, we work hard to ensure this is kept to the minimum and publicise our activities in advance through local media”.
The load is scheduled to leave the Acrefair industrial estate at 8am stopping at Whitchurch at 2pm continuing the journey on Sunday leaving at 8am and would expect to arrive at Ellesmere Port about 2pm (see high load route) The loads will be attended throughout by North Wales Police, Scottish Power and BT.
