A Large Load Movement Could Affect Your Journey
16th April 2008 — On the Saturday 12th/13th April 2008, a sizeable item of equipment is set to leave Air Products’ Manufacturing Facility in Acrefair, North Wales, bound for Saudi Arabia. The same movement will take place the following week, on Saturday 19th/20th April, 2008.
The items of equipment to be moved will be cold boxes measuring 44.8m long x 5.2m wide 4.2m high, weighing 124 tonne each.
“Movements such as these take months of planning”, commented Geoff Morris , Commercial Manager, GEO Manufacturing Europe . “We work closely with the Highways Agency, local authorities and police forces across three counties to ensure the safe and smooth transit of our loads. Whilst we appreciate there is some disruption to local roadways during a load movement, we work hard to ensure this is kept to the minimum and publicise our activities in advance through local media”.
The coldbox is due to leave Acrefair at 8am on Saturday 12th April, 2008, travelling by route B. It is scheduled to arrive at Whitchurch at approximately 1.00 PM. The load will then leave Whitchurch the following day at 8am, reaching its final destination, Ellesmere Port at approximately 1.00pm.
The second box is scheduled to leave Acrefair the following week on Saturday 19th April 2008, arriving in Whitchurch at approximately 1.00pm , also by route B. The load will then leave Whitchurch at 8am on the 10th February 2008, scheduled to arrive at Ellesmere Port at approximately 1.00pm.
