A Large Load Movement Could Affect Your Journey
12th January 2008 — On the 12th/13th January 2008, a sizeable item of equipment is set to leave Air Products’ Manufacturing Facility in Acrefair, North Wales, bound for the Ellesmere Port Dock Complex where it will be loaded onto a ship bound for Nigeria
The item of equipment to be moved will be the third vessel for the Chevron project: 23m long x 5.2m wide at 5.1m high weighing 111 tonne.
“Movements such as these take months of planning”, commented Geoff Morris , Commercial Manager, GEO Manufacturing Europe . “We work closely with the Highways Agency, local authorities and police forces across three counties to ensure the safe and smooth transit of our loads. Whilst we appreciate there is some disruption to local roadways during a load movement, we work hard to ensure this is kept to the minimum and publicise our activities in advance through local media”.
The vessel is due to leave Acrefair at 8am on Saturday 12th January, travelling by route A . It is scheduled to arrive on the A41 outside Whitchurch around 12pm noon, where it will remain overnight. The load will leave Whitchurch at 8am on Sunday 13th January 08, bound for Ellesmere Port Docks, where it is expected to arrive at the dockside at 12 noon.
