Ian Williamson appointed to the Advisory Council of the European Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Platform

26rd March 2007 – The Advisory Council of the European Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Technology Platform (HFP) has appointed Ian Williamson as member.

Based in Brussels, the HFP is a partnership of over 300 stakeholders working together to fulfil the European energy policy’s objectives of reduced emissions and improved security of supply, by elaborating and implementing an effective strategy to make fuel cells and hydrogen a market reality. The HFP’s mission is to support the development of an integrated EU strategy for fuel cell and hydrogen technologies and to stimulate the mobilisation of all major stakeholders.

Ian Williamson said: ‘The hydrogen economy is one of the key components to a sustainable future and I am proud to be part of an organisation which will support its development. I am looking forward to supporting the HFP’s aim to facilitate and accelerate the development and deployment of world-class European hydrogen and fuel cell-based energy systems for a wide range of applications, such as transport, stationary and portable power.’

Ian Williamson is currently Hydrogen Systems Director, Air Products, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Ian has 20 years experience with Air Products, within the industrial gas sector, covering specialty gases, bulk gases and tonnage plants.
