Air Products Milan facilities awarded ISO 9000:2000 certification

12th April 2005 — Air Products’ electronics chemicals production facilities in Milan recently received certification under the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 9000:2000 quality management standard. The certification was awarded for the ‘manufacture and commercialisation of laboratory reagents, fine chemicals and process chemicals, strippers, cleaners and etchants for microelectronics and associated industries’.

Approximately 100 employees work across two separate facilities in Milan. They form part of the worldwide manufacturing and applications laboratories capabilities based across the USA, Japan, Taiwan and Korea. Products are manufactured in state-of-the-art facilities, using high-quality materials, which exceed industry requirements for purity, consistency and performance.

Air Products acquired the Milan site in 2003, as part of its acquisition of the Electronic Chemicals business of Ashland Specialty Chemical Company, a division of Ashland Inc.
