Balloons all round at Birmingham Children's
Hospital
27th May 2004 — To celebrate National Balloon
Week every child at Birmingham Children's Hospital received
a balloon, thanks to Air Products, leading industrial gas
supplier and developer of the Party Perfect ™ system.
"Children everywhere love balloons. That was evident
from the looks of the kids' faces as we handed them the
balloons. From toddlers to teenagers, and even the nursing
staff, the balloons were greeted with an instant smile,"
says Gill Beech, business development manager, at Air Products.

at Air Products, wanted to celebrate National Balloon Week
in style and could think of no better way than to bring
the fun and excitement of balloons to the children at the
hospital."
The Air Products team inflated 400 foil balloons, donated
by Amscan International, with helium, before touring the
hospital to hand out the balloons to ensure that every child
at the hospital received a balloon.
"We're very grateful for all the donations, voluntary
help and assistance we receive from individuals, companies
and communities," says Malcolm Faulkner, community
fundraising officer at Birmingham Children's Hospital. "The
balloons were an especially welcome gift and a happy surprise
for the children."
National Balloon Week had another significance for Air
Products since it was also the anniversary of the launch
