ISO 14001 certification for Air Products'
Specialty Gas facility at Keumiée, Belgium
21st April 2004 — Air Products has received
the ISO 14001 environmental standard certification for its
Specialty Gas facility at Keumiée, Belgium. This
certification recognises Air Products' commitment and efforts
to continually improve its environment, health and safety
(EH&S) performance.
"The ISO 14001 certification was achieved through
an outstanding team effort demonstrated by our employees
at the Keumiée site, our EH&S team and Quality
personnel. The deployment of Quality and Environmental Management
systems at Air Products facilities assists us in meeting
our objective to be the best company to work for and buy
from, as well as in maintaining our EH&S leadership
position within the chemical industry," said Dave Edmondson,
General Manager, Electronics Europe.
The stringent requirements of the ISO14001 environmental
management system have been integrated within Air Products
Global Quality and EH&S management systems. It incorporates
controls necessitated by corporate policies and government
regulations and adheres to the principles promoted by Responsible
Careâ and international standards.
Air Products has a growing list of facilities certified
against the ISO14001 environmental standard including the
world's largest Electronic Specialty Materials facility
at Hometown PA, and the Electronic Chemicals facilities
at Milan, Italy; Dallas TX and Easton PA.
