Safety first for Air Products

Air Products has collected two prestigious safety awards
for its performance in 2002.
At a ceremony in Brussels, industry body EIGA (European
Industrial Gases Association) recognised Air Products for
having the lowest number of lost time* accidents within
its industry in the UK and Spain.
This is the second year in succession that EIGA has recognised
Air Products' UK operation for its safety performance.
In addition, Air Products' production sites in the UK,
Spain, the Netherlands and Portugal received special 'Bronze'
awards from EIGA for recording five years of operations
without having a lost time accident.
Peter Ramsay, director of environment, health and safety
at Air Products, said, "Our continued efforts demonstrate
our belief that nothing is more important than safety. It
inspires confidence among our people, our customers and
everyone else who we work with."

* Lost time is a standard measurement for safety performance
