Air Products helps people with disabilities
find jobs in Didcot -
Company Makes £1000 donation To Oxfordshire Based
Right Employment
25th February 2003 - On Wednesday 27 November, Air
Products PLC will present a cheque for £1000 to Oxfordshire-based
Right Employment, an employment service that provides support
for people with disabilities within the Oxfordshire area.
The donation will be used to help Right Employment to support
disabled people to find and maintain paid employment.
"Air Products donation will help us continue to find
suitable employment for disabled members of the community
who would otherwise not be able to work." said Carol
Coppin, Senior Employment Consultant, Right Employment.
"Finding rewarding, fulfilling and appropriate work
is very important, not only in terms of developing practical
and interpersonal skills, but also in building confidence
and self esteem."
Air Products employees over 20 people at its Didcot site
and is always keen to support the local community. "Last
year Air Products made over 100 donations to charities across
the UK" said Jo Hills, corporate communications associate
and member of the Air Products' UK charities committee.
"We make it our priority to support charities and community
groups that reflect our corporate values of, safety, health
and the environment; science and education, especially groups
that support the needs of the communities in which our employees
live and work. "
