Air Products unveils new state of the
art European technical and training centre in Nijmegen
16th April 2002 Today at SEMICON® Europa,
Air Products announced the opening of its new state of the
art technical and training centre in Nijmegen, Holland,
giving increased support and technical learning capabilities
to its electronics clients in Europe.
'The centre, designed to offer higher levels of customer
orientated service, is the latest and best equipped addition
to our strategy of providing fast and flexible local support
to our customers across Europe. We always have a technician
available, who is able to respond to customer questions
at site, no matter whether the problem concerns gases, chemicals
or the environment or whether it is a long term or short
term issue', said Ernest Grosfeld, Central Europe Technical
Centre Manager.
Air Products' Nijmegen technical centre includes a 25m²
clean room, which allows the centre to flexibly manufacture
spare parts at short notice, in a low particle environment,
and even to produce gas panels for cabinets, where required
for clients. It also holds an extensive local stock of UHP
equipment, available 24 hours a day, for use at other Air
Products electronics locations, as well as to serve clients
in the optoelectronic, semiconductor, glass fibre and pharmaceutical
industries. Also offered are local design and project engineering
capabilities as well as high purity analytical services.
The training centre benefits from a state of the art training
suite and full time trainers, offering classroom and computer-based
training classes. It also includes an extensive range of
dedicated gas delivery, toxic gas monitoring and analytical
equipment, specially developed for hands on practical operations
and troubleshooting training. Training is offered for both
the continued development of Air Products' MegasysTM (TGCM)
personnel in Europe and directly to customers.
The centre is able to draw on the broad expertise and experience
gained from Air Products' market leading MegasysTM (TGCM-
total gas and chemicals management) operations, with customers
in the Electronics industry. With sites spread all around
the world, Air Products has an extensive knowledge of gases
and chemicals, which is transferred via training sessions
and courses, presented in a range of languages.
