AIR PRODUCTS POLYMERS TO INCREASE PRICES IN EUROPE

17th October 2000 — Air Products Polymers (APP) will increase prices for its range of dispersions marketed under the trademarks Airflex®, Vinac™, Flexbond® and Flexcryl® by 7 Euro/100 kg.

Dispersions are used in the fabrication of adhesives, nonwoven materials, paints, coatings and other products.

The increase, effective from 1 November 2000, is necessary to offset the rise in costs of raw materials, in particular vinyl acetate monomer.

Editor's note: Air Products Polymers GmbH & Co. KG was formed in October 1998 by two of the world's leaders in dispersions, Wacker-Chemie GmbH and Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.
