Apachi™
Apachi+ is more cost effective and safer
than acetylene and provides faster cleaner cuts than propane.
Apachi+ is pure propylene (C3H6)
and cuts at a speed that matches acetylene. Whats more cuts
that are made with Apachi+ have a uniform kerf width, smooth
surface and slag falls away easily.
Apachi+ is a safer fuel gas than acetylene.
Unlike acetylene which is inherently unstable, Apachi+
is stored as a liquid and does not require containment in a stabilising
medium (usually acetone). Apachi+ ignites easily in a welding
or cutting torch but has a smaller flammable range (2.4%-10.1%)
than acetylene (2.5% to 81%) making leaks less hazardous. Apachi+
is non-toxic and generally non-corrosive.
When it comes to storage and ease-of-use Apachi+
has all the benefits of propane and none of the disadvantages
of acetylene.
It requires fewer fuel gas cylinders than acetylene, less oxygen
than propane, and does not clog nozzles or regulators.
