How do I get a repeat oxygen delivery?

The home oxygen order form (HOOF) is valid until it is changed or cancelled by your GP or respiratory specialist. Unless your oxygen needs or condition changes, you will not need to obtain a new HOOF when your oxygen cylinders become empty and you need new supplies.

When you need to order more oxygen cylinders, you don’t need a repeat HOOF. Simply call us on 0800 373 580 (8.00am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday) when you start your last oxygen cylinder, or at least three working days before you’ll need a new oxygen cylinder.

How do I get extra oxygen?

You will need to be assessed to see if you need extra oxygen. Your General Practitioner (GP) should refer you to a specialist who will carry out an oxygen assessment and decide on the amount of supplementary oxygen you need.

The specialist will recommend the flow rate of oxygen and for how long you should use it. This type of prescription is called a ‘home oxygen order form’ (HOOF). Always use oxygen at the flow rate prescribed, never change your oxygen flow rate without consulting your doctor first.
