How does the Home Oxygen Service work?

Home oxygen is ordered for home oxygen patients by their GP or hospital specialist who will fill out a Home Oxygen Order Form (HOOF) indicating the quantity of oxygen the patient will require. Once Air Products receives this information we are able to make an assessment of type of oxygen equipment will best help the patient.

Next

An Air Products technician will visit the patient in their home to carry out a health and safety assessment, install the oxygen equipment, provide a patient information pack and educate the patient on how to use the equipment safely.

Next

The type of equipment required and the amount of oxygen needed by each patient varies, depending on their condition and activities. Air Products supplies a comprehensive range of equipment to suit most clinical needs.

Next

When patients are ready to have their oxygen supply replenished they contact the Air Products call centre in Crewe where the team will log their order and send the information to a field technician who will book and carry out the delivery. The Homecare Helpline operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Next

Patients are regularly visited by a homecare technician from Air Products who will discuss the oxygen equipment and answer any concerns or problems.
