Liquid oxygen dual port demand cannula
These cannulae are designed for patients specifically using liquid oxygen. They are designed to fit the portables that you fill from your liquid oxygen dewar.
The reason these cannulae are called dual port cannulae is that instead of having one length of tubing that attaches to the portable, dual port cannulae have two pieces of tubing that attach to the two outlets on the portable unit.
If a patient is using a Spirit care unit or a Tyco H1000HF, they should only use standard cannulae.
If a patient is using a Tyco Helios Marathon 850 or 300, they will need to use a cannula with a dual port and receive oxygen via one nostril, but have two prongs in the nose.
