Sequencing Batch Reactors

Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) technology is well known in waste water treatment for its simplicity and low cost. The Oxy-Dep SBR process uses high efficiency oxygen transfer equipment to satisfy the high rate oxygen consumption at the beginning of the "fill" and "aeration" cycles.

Normally, air-fed SBR plants have to size aeration equipment to satisfy the oxygen requirement at the start of the cycles. This leads to oversized aeration towards the end of the treatment stage. With Oxy-Dep SBR, high purity oxygen provides the oxygen on an on-off basis as required throughout the process, so that no oxygen wastage occurs.
