The liquid gas supply system offered through our CryoEase® Service range is suitable for a wide variety of gas applications.
We are able to deliver liquid argon (LAR), liquid nitrogen (LIN), liquid oxygen (LOX), and liquid carbon dioxide (LCO2). Likewise, for customers requiring mixtures, the Air Products Gas Installation Service (GIS) offers an easy solution to customise gas mixtures to the requirements of your processes. We even offer mobile bulk liquid gas tanks to give you as much flexibility as possible.

Liquid argon (LAR)
The metal fabrication industry is a large user of liquid argon in mini tanks, as a shielding gas. Moreover argon is extremely versatile in that it can be used to weld aluminium, carbon steel, stainless steel and titanium alloys.
ICP and ICP-MS processes use argon for the analysis of the composition of metal alloys, water (contamination and potability), fuels (determination of contaminants), food (beverages, tinned food, etc.
), cement, rocks, sediments, other geological materials and biological samples (toxicology studies).
You could well require a liquid argon source if you are working in the double glazing industry. Argon is credited with improving the insulating properties of double glazed sealed units.

Liquid nitrogen (LIN)
Liquid nitrogen benefits a wide scope of industries. The product can be used for cryogenic processes like freeze branding, rubber deflashing or pipe stripping. It is also firmly established as a food industry favourite thanks to its inert properties that help to prolong the life or acceptance of certain foods, and for food freezing for preservation and convenience.
Other market segments for LIN are pharmaceuticals, life sciences and Biomedical. The gas can be essential to the performance of NMR / MRI scanners and vital in the storage of blood and tissue samples. It is also increasingly being used in clinics to remove warts or preserve semen for artificial insemination.

Liquid oxygen (LOX)
From its use in waste water in effluent treatment works to fresh water in fish farming, Air Products offers you a wealth of experience in liquid oxygen. When used in the treatment of sewage is more effective and energy efficient than aeration alone. Oxygen is of course central to preserving life, and by adding liquid oxygen to the water in fish farms you are aerating the environment to ensure that your valuable fish stock thrives.
The food industry uses oxygen in MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) to ensure that the desirable red colour of meats is maintained for longer. Highly pigmented meats will require greater concentrations of liquid oxygen.

Liquid carbon dioxide (CO2)
The leisure industry is a major user of liquid carbon dioxide. Traditionally a staple in the beverage sector, where it is used for carbonating and dispensing drinks, its usage now extends much further. Did you know that carbon dioxide is used in many swimming pools? Adding liquid carbon dioxide to swimming pool water helps to maintain a pH balance, reducing the need for mineral acids to be used.
There are also various liquid carbon dioxide applications in the theatre and television industry, from “dry ice” to confetti launchers.
