Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR 2000)

The Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) 2000 places duties upon individuals in organisations to provide information and services in connection with pressure systems. There are a number of duties placed upon the 'Competent Person' and as such there is a need to establish competence in the organisation. This competence requires definition in three specific areas.

• Advising the User on the scope of the Written Scheme.
• Drawing up or certifying schemes of examination.
• Carrying out examinations under the written scheme.
