Qualifications: Prior to joining Air Products Kevin started out his career training as welding apprentice within a large UK based bridge manufacturer where he gained professional qualification as a welder/fabricator. Kevin progressed into a field welding technician’s role, working for an international based welding consumable and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) where he gained further qualifications with the International Institute of Welding (IIW).
About Kevin Sherry
In 2014 Kevin joined Air Products as a metal fabrication applications specialist, responsible for the Northern territory in UK - Scotland and the North East of England - offering Air Products’ customers the best solutions and advice across the metal fabrication segment. In 2015 Kevin was promoted to a management role for UK and Ireland. This role encompasses a larger territory for Kevin as well as the overall responsibility for the UKI Applications Specialist team.
Kevin brings to Air Products many years of experience working with major fabrication companies, supplying welding based solutions within market segments ranging from structure steel projects to large offshore renewable energy projects, always providing the optimum welding methods, process and consumable selection for the applications.
In addition to providing technical support to both his customers and colleagues, his current role involves working in partnership with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), contributing to the development and introduction of new products, advising on best practices and identifying the optimum technology offering, delivering product training and assisting at promotional events. He is also a key member of the Skillweld competition judging panel.
Kevin holds a number of welding based qualifications including International/European Welding Technologist (IWT/EWT) Diploma in Welding, Welding Inspection and serves on the committee of the TWI members’ branch in Glasgow, in the capacity of Young Members’ Representative and Programme Secretary.

Kevin lives in Glasgow with his wife and daughter, he enjoys golf and travel.
