PRISM® Nitrogen Generator – PSA
A typical PSA (pressure swing adsorber)
gas generator producing high purity nitrogen at a customer site
The Air Products' PRISM ® PSA utilises proprietary technology
and the principles of adsorption to create a guaranteed reliable
supply of nitrogen gas.  Dry compressed air enters the adsorber bed, which
is made up of a unique molecular sieve. The molecular sieve selectively
adsorbs both waste gases and oxygen. When the sieve reaches saturation,
flow is switched to a second bed, whilst the first is regenerated.
The cycle continues with nitrogen travelling out of the bed, creating
a continuous product stream which is fed directly to the customer. |
